Police: Woman thrown into a business window in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A 41-year-old woman was thrown into a window by an unknown man after she tried to fight someone at a local business in Hampton, police said.

On March 26, around 11:50 a.m., Hampton police officers responded to the 1st block of W. Mercury Boulevard in reference to a fight.

Upon arrival, officers saw a 41-year-old Hampton woman, suffering from non life-threatening injuries, and she was transported to a local hospital.

The investigation revealed that the 41-year-old woman entered a business and engaged in a verbal altercation with a female she knew, police said. The 41-year-old was trying to lure the woman out of the business to physically fight. However, she wasn’t able to and was asked to leave by the business.

After leaving, the 41-year-old was approached by the unknown male who threw her through a window of the Rent-a-Center located in the shopping center. After assaulting her, the male fled the area in blue sedan.
