Vehicle crashes into Hampton Post Office; driver uninjured

Emergency personnel responded to a call of a vehicle driving into the Hampton Post Office, located at 433 Highway 321, in Hampton, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hampton/Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Department, along with the Carter County Sheriff’s Department and Carter County Rescue Squad, promptly answered the call for assistance.

Fortunately, the male driver involved in the incident emerged uninjured and declined both treatment and transportation to the hospital.

As of now, the cause of the accident remains unknown, and an investigation is ongoing.
