Highway 55 in Plymouth will be closed this weekend
PLYMOUTH, Minn. (FOX 9) - The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is closing a portion of Highway 55 in Plymouth starting Friday night. A stretch of Highway 55 will be closed between the east ramp of Interstate 94 and the east ramp of Interstate 494 from 10 p.m. on Friday, May 17, until 5 a.m. on Monday, May 20.

New Minneapolis safety commissioner lays out plan to curb summer violence
MINNEAPOLIS — In a rare interview, the new commissioner of community safety for Minneapolis laid out his strategy to curb the violence in the city as we head into summer. Todd Barnette is only the second person ever appointed to this position, taking over last October for Cedric Alexander. He oversees five departments, including police and fire, the city’s 911 dispatch center, emergency management and neighborhood safety departments.
