Why is Dollar Tree growing at Jersey Shore while Family Dollar struggles?
The Jersey Shore isn't on the sidelines as Dollar Tree, the discount retailer, pledges to "aggressively grow" its number of stores nationwide. So far this year, Dollar Tree has signed leases for three new stores in Monmouth County. They are in Hazlet, Ocean Township and Howell, according to Danielle Brunelli, president of commercial real estate brokerage R.J. Brunelli & Co. in Old Bridge, who represents Dollar Tree in its lease transactions. Elsewhere in New Jersey, more Dollar Trees are coming to Wayne, West New York, Union and Gibbstown, she wrote in a social media post on LinkedIn.
Suspect in deadly Philly shooting arrested in Puerto Rico, police say
A suspect in a deadly Philadelphia shooting last year was recently arrested in Puerto Rico, police said. On Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, around 11:45 p.m., police responded to a report of a person with a gun along the 2600 block of North 13th Street. When police arrived they found 36-year-old Samuel Rosario unresponsive and on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his stomach.
