VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - A South Carolina man is facing charges after pointing a gun at an officer at a Valdosta hotel. On Saturday, May 11, the Valdosta Police Department (VPD) was called to the Wingate Hotel after reports of a dispute. When officers got to the scene, they say they saw a man, later identified as William Stanfield, 61, who was “intoxicated and belligerent.”
