Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms persist throughout the day
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Today started off pretty gloomy with those overcast skies and rain showers in the early morning hours and it will continue to rain on our parade (literally) with more rain showers coming up in the next couple hours. In the evening hours we are also going to start to see some non-severe thunderstorms. Our highs today are going to drop down below season average today with temperatures in the low 70s for the lower elevations but, our highs will be getting higher on Thursday as we start a slight warming trend getting into the high 70s in the lowlands. Also on Thursday we are going to start to get another break from the bad weather! Thursday does see some chances for some very scattered showers but the chances will get even lower going into the evening hours and into the morning on Friday. To start off your weekend on Friday however, there are some more chances for thunderstorms in the late afternoon to evening. Daniel Niemasz has all of this and more on your First Alert Forecast.
