The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds took center stage at MacDill AirFest on Nov. 5-6 in 2011. The Air Force estimated that 80,000 spectators attended the first day alone. For two days the Thunderbirds, flying their signature F-16 Fighting Falcons, thrilled crowds with precision formations and daring maneuvers. Other highlights included parachute demonstrations and flights featuring military aircraft from different generations.
