The investigation report states that officers responded to Kleyman’s last known location which was the Gas Pro on Wrightsboro Road in Grovetown, and officers say they made contact with Kleyman, who fit the description that was given to them by dispatch.

The victim states that he was in an verbal altercation with Sergey at Hardee’s, during which Sergey went to get his handgun and fired several rounds at him inside of the Hardee’s, and this was confirmed by several employees on the scene.

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – According to Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, two men who previously knew each other had an argument in the area near the Hardees restaurant located at 4305 Wrightsboro Road – during the argument, it is believed that one of the individuals left the immediate area due to the disagreement.

Though the investigation is still in the early stages, it is believed that as the individual who left was returning back to the area, specifically the Hardees, the other individual opened fire in the alleged victim’s general direction using a handgun.

According to the preliminary investigation, the alleged shooter reportedly fired multiple times as the identified victim was attempting to enter the Hardees.

The victim sought cover at the Gas Pro nearby at 4311 Wrightsboro Road, according to Columbia County Sheriff’s office and called 911.

At this time, no one has been reported injured and the alleged shooter is in custody.

While there is believed to be no danger to the public at this time, some local businesses may be disrupted due to this active and ongoing investigation.
