Loaves and Fishes, Taste of Upstate offers challenge to give classic dishes a magical makeover

Greenville, S.C (WSPA) – The annual fundraiser for a local food rescue is getting a spellbinding twist. It’s the 28th Annual Taste of the Upstate and Loaves and Fishes is hoping to gather huge financial support and raise awareness for their food rescue effort.

The mission of Loaves and Fishes is to fight food insecurity in Greenville County by rescuing fresh, healthy surplus food and delivering it to where it’s needed the most.

On Sunday, April 28, 11:30 am – 2 pm at Bon Secours Wellness Arena, guests will explore the transformative power of the culinary arts with a “Magical Makeover” challenge.

Chefs will work their magic to create an enchanted new version of a classic dish.

Patrons will be able to eat samples, bid in the silent auction, listen to live music from award-winning Darby Wilcox and vote on their favorite dish.

Attendees also decide the People’s Choice winner.
