GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Calling lovers of all creatures scaly and reptilian! The Mid-Atlantic Reptile Expo made its quarterly stop at the Greenville Convention Center on Saturday.

Organizers expected more than 4,000 reptile enthusiasts to make their way to our area to look at snakes, frogs, turtles and more. Animal Care of Greenville attended the expo, offering education sessions and teaching people about exotic pet care.

Event organizers said this expo gives people an opportunity to learn about animals that are often misunderstood.

“It’s a great educational place to come and bring your kids who may have interest,” said Mid-Atlantic Reptile Expo Promoter Melissa Sell. “Maybe you’re not ready to own one yet but maybe see what it’s about. See what the options are and just kind of talk to people who actually know what they’re doing and the professionals of the industry.”

The expo will visit Greenville again in July.
