A team from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division will be heading to the NCAA Division II World Series.

Will it be West Division champion Seton Hill or runner-up Indiana?

The teams will square off in a best-of-three series at the Atlantic Super Regional beginning Friday at either Seton Hill or Indiana. The World Series is in Cary, N.C., beginning June 1.

Seton Hill clinched a berth in the Super Regional on Sunday by sweeping two games from East Stroudsburg, 4-3 and 8-3. The Griffins finished 4-1 in the Atlantic Regional.

IUP advanced by sweeping the series at West Chester. The Crimson Hawks defeated Charleston (W.Va.) and then West Chester twice.

Seton Hill (40-15) rallied from a 3-2 deficit in the first game. Noah Sweeney’s squeeze bunt scored Jacob Haynes to tie the score in the fourth inning, and Owen Sabol’s ground out scored Owen Mandler in the fifth inning.

Mandler had three hits for the Griffins.

Jack Oberdorf doubled home a run in the first inning and scored on Matt Frazetta’s sacrifice fly.

Winning pitcher Andino Vecchiolla tossed four scoreless innings, and Michael Marinchak pitched a scoreless 1 1/3 innings to earn the save.

In the nightcap, Seton Hill scored six runs in the seventh inning to erase a 3-2 deficit.

Elijah Snyder smacked a solo home run in the second inning and added a three-run blast in the seventh inning.

A bases-loaded walk to Owen Henne tied the score 3-3 in the seventh inning, and Mandler added a two-run double to make it 5-3. Snyder iced the game with his home run.

Mandler and Sabol had two hits each in Game 2.

Ian Korn, one of five Griffin hurlers, earned the win.

Indiana (30-22-1) won three of four games against Seton Hill this season.
