    WPIAL clinched: Softball playoff qualifiers through May 6, 2024

    The WPIAL softball playoff field is nearly set with 75 teams having qualified.

    There could be a 76th team on the final day of section play Tuesday.

    Coverage of the 2024 WPIAL softball playoffs here on Trib HSSN starts with the brackets being unveiled during the Playoff Pairings Show at 2 p.m. Thursday.

    The top four teams in each section qualify for the postseason. In 6A, the top six teams qualify for the WPIAL playoffs.

    Here are the teams that will battle for diamond gold, updated through Monday.

    Class 6A

    Set with 6 playoff teams – two byes into the semifinals, two quarterfinal games
