    2 charged with murder in fatal Christmas Eve Motel 6 shooting in Greensboro

    GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Two people have been arrested in connection with a f atal shooting that took place at a Motel 6 in Greensboro on Christmas Eve last year , according to the Greensboro Police Department.

    At around 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 24, 2023, officers came to Motel 6 at 6009 Landmark Center Boulevard after getting a report of an aggravated assault.

    At the scene, police found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

    On Dec. 30, 2023, police announced that one of the victims, 21-year-old Isaiah Carmichael, died as a result of his injuries.

    On Tuesday, investigators arrested 21-year-old Isaiah Carter and 21-year-old Kehonesti McNeil and charged them each with first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

    Neither of them was given bond.
