Local native part of Wells-Fargo transition

Atlas Investment Management, a Wells Fargo advisors team with locations in Wilmington and Greensboro, will transition to Wells Fargo’s independent channel, known as the Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network (or FiNet), after more than 15 years at its Wealth Brokerage Services group of brokers.

Atlas Investment Management will join NEST Capital, an established FiNet practice and network of independent advisors, based in Troy, Ohio.

Surry County native Zach Edwards, along with Jason Harris, Christopher “Rusty” Knowles, and Adam Bolick, will lead their firm of nine associates, who moved to new offices in Wilmington and Greensboro in April. The team brings more than 60 years of combined industry experience to its clients for whom they manage approximately $424 million in customer assets, as of April 2.

All four advisors have years of experience in the industry across multiple firms. Prior firms include Morgan Stanley, Edwards Jones and Bank of America-Merrill Lynch. They formed in 2019 with three advisors at Wells Fargo Advisors and have grown to add a fourth advisor, a second location, and five staff members.

“The newly independent Atlas Investment Management team is excited to take ownership of the direction and future of the practice,” officials with the firm said. “They are appreciative of their years at Wealth Brokerage Services, Wells Fargo Advisors, and look forward to the opportunities offered in the FINET independent channel. The entire team at Atlas Investment Management is confident that this change is a great step to better serve clients and establish their own unique footprint in the market.”
