Ashe County included in Wildlife Commission's CWD surveillance areas
RALEIGH — The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission’s Executive Director, Cameron Ingram, signed a proclamation on April 22 outlining the state’s Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) primary and secondary surveillance areas as well as the 2024-25 deer season dates in which mandatory sample submission is required. The CWD primary surveillance areas, designated by county, are Cumberland, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin counties. The secondary surveillance areas are Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Bladen, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Harnett, Hoke, Iredell, Robeson, Rockingham and Sampson counties. ...

BOONE, NC (April 26, 2021) ⇒ The Blue Ridge Chapter’s annual native plant sale events are coming up soon! Both will be held at the Daniel Boone Native Gardens located at 651 Horn in the West Drive, Boone. The dates for the events are Saturday, May 18 and Saturday June 15, rain or shine.
