    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — West Michigan is the place to be this weekend and thousands of people from across the country already know that.

    Here is a look at what you can do the weekend of May 3:

    Tulip Time

    It’s the time-honored tradition that attracts thousands of people from around the globe to West Michigan every spring.

    Tulip Time in Holland is back for a 95th year starting Saturday. There will be plenty of fun activities, concerts and, of course, plenty of tulips to enjoy during its duration.

    Tots & Taps Fest

    LMCU Ballpark is hosting an event this Saturday perfect for fans of beer and tater tots.

    Tots and Taps Fest will bring people together to enjoy over 25 different dishes with tater tots as the theme, along with over 150 different beers, seltzers and spirits to pair with.

    Nature Makers Market at Blandford Nature Center

    This Saturday, Blandford Nature Center is bringing back its Nature Makers Market.

    Around 30 different vendors will be there offering you some of their incredible artworks. If you can’t make it on Saturday, don’t worry, there will be another happening on Nov. 9.

    Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at Woodland Mall

    Sunday also happens to be Cinco de Mayo and the Woodland Mall wants to help you celebrate in style.

    The mall is hosting a fiesta from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., during which you can color your own maracas, dine on some Mexican cuisine and enjoy plenty of live entertainment.

    Hats and Horses

    Pioneer Resources wants you to be transported to Churchill Downs this Saturday as we get set for the 150th Kentucky Derby.

    Hats and Horses is a fundraising event where you’re encouraged to dress like you are attending the biggest horse race of the year and also partake in plenty of themed activities.

    Griffins back in the playoffs

    Playoff hockey is back in Grand Rapids. The Griffins will face the Rockford Ice Hogs in the first round of the AHL postseason.

    The Griffins are up 1-0 over the Ice Hogs and hope to go up 2-0 before Friday’s matchup at Van Andel Arena. The team announced that it will offer $2 beers and hot dogs during the game.

    47th annual Walk for Good Food

    On Sunday, join dozens of others for the 47th annual Walk for Good Food in Grand Rapids.

    The walk will begin at Richmond Park at 2 p.m. and will give you the choice of either a 5K route or a one-mile route to help raise money for Access of West Michigan.

    Glass Blowers Battle in Kalamazoo

    The ultimate glass-blowing competition returns to Kalamazoo this Friday and Saturday.

    Glass Blowers Battle 2024 will pit glass workers against each other in a variety of friendly competitions. There will also be chances for the audience to vote for their favorite works.

    Big Brew Day at Trail Point Brewing Co.

    Trail Point Brewing Co. in Allendale is hosting its Big Brew Day this Saturday to celebrate May the Fourth.

    The event will give 15 homebrewers the chance to show off their skills by brewing their own beers and then trying to make something called “Jabba the Wit.” You will have to attend to learn what that is.

    Celebrate Michigan craft beverages and local music in Pentwater this Saturday with Brews & Beats.

    The festival will showcase locally made beers, wines and ciders, along with plenty of live music throughout the day.
