BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Today we will see more of those partly cloudy skies that we saw yesterday. Along with that our highs today are forecasted to get up into the 80s for most of us in the lowlands. Some cloud coverage is expected to roll in tonight and then, Tuesday morning rain and possibly a few thunderstorms are going to start coming into our area as a cold front begins to roll through. This trend will continue into Wednesday with the possibility of a few heavier rain showers as well. Annie Smiles Foundation hosts final ‘Wishing Well Run’
PHILIPPI, W.Va (WDTV) - On Saturday, The Annie Smiles Foundation hosted its 6th and final ‘Wishing Well Run’ at the Philippi Covered Bridge. Bikers came out to support the Rowans who started the foundation in honor of their daughter Cheyenne nicknamed ‘Annie’. She passed away from RSV in 2016 at the age of 15. Now, to support the cause, people come from all over West Virginia to raise money for children like Cheyenne who have Down Syndrome. Along with their bikes, supporters also arrived with coins that they would eventually throw in Cheyenne’s favorite wishing well by the end of their route.
