GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) — Hwy 621 Outdoor Market is open every Saturday from March to July and October to December and offers a vibrant showcase of produce, handmade crafts and fun for all ages.
“Throughout the year, local farmers bring forth their finest fruits and vegetables, showcasing the rich tapestry of flavors that change with the seasons. From juicy tomatoes and crisp greens in the summer to hearty root vegetables and sweet potatoes in the fall,” said Jaise Templet, the owner.
Templet said Hwy 621 started in 2016. Since then, visitors have explored different vendors that sell local grass-fed beef, honey, fresh bread, goat milk soaps and the occasional local pork, chicken and shrimp.

“In addition to the seasonal bounty of produce, the market also features a variety of artisanal products crafted with care by local artisans. From handmade wood crafts and jewelry to handmade soap, small-batch preserves, baked goods and custom home décor, there’s something to delight every palate and elevate every home.” Templet said.
Since the market is outdoors, Templet suggests that visitors check the weather before heading to Hwy 621.
“Pets are allowed to join in on the fun as long as they are leashed, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors,” said Templet.
Templet said their operating hours and product availability may vary throughout the season, but they invite everyone to experience the changing flavors and craftsmanship with each visit.
