Permian High School Black vs White game brings in parents, students and tv shows
ODESSA, Texas — High school football is a staple of West Texas. The gridiron brings together all types of people from across the town to watch the action. One of the yearly traditions is the Permian High School Black vs. White game at Ratliff Stadium, where parents, students and football fans come together to see what Permian football will bring to their upcoming season.
HIGHLIGHTS: Permian spring football game
ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – After an hour-and-a-half weather delay, Permian football took the field at Ratliff Stadium for the first time in 2024 in its annual Black vs. White spring game. The White team won 13-0 with touchdowns from the runningback duo of Tyran Williams and Gavin Black. Watch the video above for highlights.

For El Pasoans Mia Bailey, Mia Perez and Alexis Hamilton, the 2024 college softball season has been one to remember. Bailey, who plays for Trinidad Junior College in Colorado, Perez, who plays at Odessa College in Texas and Hamilton, who is the pitching coach at Odessa College are all headed to Oxford, Alabama, to compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Tournament. The tournament begins Monday and the two teams play each other in the first game on Monday.
