15 OC nursing graduates to sign with MCH
Fifteen soon-to-be associate degree nursing graduates will sign agreements with Medical Center Hospital District at a signing ceremony Tuesday at Odessa College. At the special ceremony at 9 a.m. Dec. 5 in the Zant Room of the Saulsbury Campus Center, the future graduates will sign an agreement committing to begin or continue their nursing careers at Medical Center Hospital. The students will graduate on Friday, Dec. 7.
OPD seizes 17 grams of cocaine
A traffic stop Thursday led to the arrest of a 37-year-old Odessa man on felony drug charges. According to an Odessa Police Department report, intelligence unit detectives saw Iram Rodriguez Aguilar fail to stop at a designated stop point at West Pool and South Grant Avenue and pulled him over in the 100 block of East Odessa.

Robbery suspect nabbed by OPD
A 60-year-old Odessa man was arrested Friday in connection with the robbery of a DK store on South Grandview Avenue. According to the Odessa Police Department, the store clerk called 911 around 6 a.m. to report the robbery. When officers arrived, the clerk told them the suspect demanded cash while threatening them with a knife and then fled on foot.

A traffic infraction led to the arrest Thursday morning of an Odessa man and the seizure of cocaine, marijuana, Xanax and THC. Court documents indicate a University of Texas of the Permian Basin Police Department officer saw Daniel Vizcaino blow through a red arrow at Highway 80 and Loop 338 around 2 a.m. and when he tried to pull him over, Vizcaino fled before eventually stopping at a convenience store on East University Boulevard.
