No injuries in Hastings-area two-vehicle crash
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings Police responded to a two vehicle crash between Nolan and Westbrook Drive on West 12th Street on Wednesday. An eastbound Dodge Caravan crossed paths with an oncoming vehicle. Officers on scene said the second vehicle attempted to make a left turn in front of the Dodge Caravan which led to the crash.

Fire crews battle Juniata garage fire on 12th Street
JUNIATA, Neb. (KSNB) - Shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, the Juniata fire department responded to a house fire on West 12th Street. The station’s fire chief said the homeowner had been working on a car in the garage when an item sparked causing it to catch on fire. It started in the middle of the garage, but quickly spread throughout the structure.
Kenesaw Public Schools Temporarily Activate Secure Protocol Due to Unidentified Individual
Kenesaw Public Schools activated the Secure Standard Response Protocol (SRP) for an hour due to an unidentified individual on the premises. The protocol aimed to protect staff and students by limiting building access, while normal activities continued inside. The individual left without causing any problems. High temperatures on Wednesday will range from the upper 40s northeast to around 60° southwest. Overnight, a cold front will pass through the area, bringing a bit of an increase in clouds going into Thursday. Lows tonight will mainly be in the 20s. It’ll be a chillier and brisk day behind the frong for tomorrow. Highs will be in the mid 30s to mid 40s from northwest to southeast. Brisk northerly winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph will be possible. This will make it feel that colder.
