HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings Police responded to a two vehicle crash between Nolan and Westbrook Drive on West 12th Street on Wednesday. An eastbound Dodge Caravan crossed paths with an oncoming vehicle. Officers on scene said the second vehicle attempted to make a left turn in front of the Dodge Caravan which led to the crash.

JUNIATA, Neb. (KSNB) - Shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, the Juniata fire department responded to a house fire on West 12th Street. The station’s fire chief said the homeowner had been working on a car in the garage when an item sparked causing it to catch on fire. It started in the middle of the garage, but quickly spread throughout the structure.

Kenesaw Public Schools activated the Secure Standard Response Protocol (SRP) for an hour due to an unidentified individual on the premises. The protocol aimed to protect staff and students by limiting building access, while normal activities continued inside. The individual left without causing any problems.
