GLENFIELD NEWS: Otter Creek Horse Trails and town news
Friends of Otter Creek Horse Trails will hold a “PPP” trail clean-up event from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11 at 6498 South Chases Lake Road, Greig. “PPP” stands for “Pick it up, Pack it out, Prune it back.” Volunteers are asked to meet at the Assembly Road, at the day use/overflow area. From there, they will fill out a required Limited Use Volunteer application, and pick up trail maps, collection bags and marking tape. Volunteers will then go in pairs (no one goes out alone) to the large trail map and select a trail to work on. Work will be carried out rain or shine. LOWVILLE NEWS: A trap shoot and Railway Historical Society news
The Beaver River Fish & Game Club, located at 8290 Bush Road, Croghan, will host a 50-bird trap shoot on Saturday, May 11. Sign-up will be at 8 a.m. and shooting will be at 9 a.m. The cost is: $20 for target classes, including AA, A, B, C, D, ladies, sub-junior (12-14-years-old), junior (15-17), veteran (65-69) and senior veteran (70 or older); $10 for Lewis; and $5 for 25’s. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, sausages and fryer foods will be available in the kitchen. The shoot is an event by the Northern Tier Trap League.
