During all four sessions of Spotlight Youth Theatre’s 2024 Summer Theatre Camps, actors will learn the shows, and then perform for families and friends over the course of two weeks.

Ages 8-18 are welcome, whether it is their first theatre experience, or just keeping in practice. Spotlight Youth Theatre is at 10620 N. 43rd Ave., Glendale.

    • Session 1 is from June 3-14, campers will perform “Snow Queen II: A Frozen Tale”
Back by popular demand, the past is not what it seems … Or is it? In this hilarious parody, conjure up freezing snow and ice as well as songs and dancing in an enchanted land, and help restore the peace.

    • Session 2 is from June 17-28, and at the end another group of campers perform “Barbie & Ken & Friends the Musical.”
In this live action Barbie musical parody, stereotypical Barbie and Ken must travel from their matriarchal theatre society in the East Valley to perform at a Youth Theatre in the West Valley. Along the way they learn fantastic musical numbers and make new friends.

    • Following a break the week of Independence Day, campers return with session 3 from July 8-19, “Taylor & the Swifties Attack.”
Is she at the game? Is she at the show? When an “Anti Hero” threatens to take over this camp, the group might be in for a “cruel summer.” T-Swizzle knows that “bad blood” on a youth theatre stage causes a “blank space.” But Tay decides to “shake it off” and with the help of the Swifties, sings and dances and challenges the “Anti Hero” and saves the day in “style.”

    • Session 4, the final session of the summer meets, from July 22-Aug. 2, and performs “Guardians of the Theatre Galaxy”
Knowhere Youth Theatre and their beloved band of misfit actors are back after the pandemic and are on a mission to help protect the theatre galaxy. Join this musical comedy adventure and help celebrate youth theatre as we know it.
