    Giants and Titans boys golfers hit the links in MRC showdown

    Monday evening, the Le Sueur-Henderson/Cleveland/Sibley East and Tri-City United boys golf squads traveled to Glencoe Country Club to compete in the next leg of Minnesota River competition. The Giants once again finished first with a nine-hole score of 175 while the Titans finished second with a combined round of 182.

    Le Sueur-Henderson/Cleveland/Sibley East — 175

    Ayden Christ led all players with a round of 41 while JD Reinhardt and Nathan Tews finished tied for second with rounds of 43. Despite the windy and cold conditions, the trio combined for eight pars on the day.

    Casey Fahey rounded out the team scorers with a round of 48 while Mason Bussler and Hunter Vinkemeier finished with 52 each.

    Tri-City United — 182

    Eian O’Keefe led the Titans with a round of 44 to finish tied for fifth while Carter Beulke and Gavin Blaschko claimed a tie for seventh as they each carded a 45. Jacob Neubauer rounded out the team scorers with 48 on the day while Tyler Gogerty (49) and Trenton Pelowski (51) battled the competition for TCU as well.

    Both the LS-H/C/SE and TCU boys are scheduled to return to the links Monday, May 6, when the team will compete in the Glencoe-Silver Lakes boys varsity Invitational which is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
