A modified baseball game was played in Glen Cove Saturday for athletes who are blind and have visual impairment.

The Long Island Bombers took to the field against the Sunset Mets for a game of "beep baseball."

Players use a ball that beeps while in play so they can track the location of the ball by the sound it makes.

The bases also beep so players can know which direction to run toward.

The matchup was the third annual fundraising exhibition between the teams.

"Getting everybody together and bringing awareness to the community to what people could do despite their impairment... We can still enjoy the sport of baseball under the modified rules," said Alex Barrera, Long Island Bombers captain.

The money raised at the game will help support the Long Island Bombers.
