    New Jersey breweries strike gold! Four take top honors at World Beer Cup

    Four breweries are shining in gold after receiving awards from the 2024 World Beer Cup , held in Las Vegas on April 24.

    Two local breweries — one from Monmouth and one from Ocean County — are tasting sweet victory.

    This year, the Brewers Association hosted 2,060 breweries across 50 nations to honor the best beers in 110 categories covering 172 different beer styles, that includes all subcategories.

    The competition received 9,300 entries and awarded 329 winners from 20 countries.

    World Beer Cup Winners 2024: New Jersey

    Kane Brewing Co., from Ocean was won gold in the Wood- and Barrel-Aged Strong Stout category for Dripping Maple. The brewery also took home a bronze medal in the Belgian Fruit Beer category for Golden Raspberry.

    Ship Bottom Brewery, from Beach Haven was crowned a gold medal for Mermaid Blonde Ale in the Golden or Blonde Ale category.

    Bonesaw Brewing Co., from Glassboro, was awarded a gold medal for Lone Squirrel in the American-Style Brown Ale category.

    MudHen Brewing Co. , from Wildwood took home the gold for Wee Heavy Wilson in the Scotch Ale category.
