A pair of Estacada throwers, including the school record holder, are headed to the state track and field championships after shining at the district meet.

Junior Abby Behrman and senior Hayden Slaughter stood atop the podium in a pair of events during the 2024 Tri-Valley Conference Championships, Friday-Saturday, May 10-11, hosted at Gladstone High School.

Behrman continued what has been an incredible season, filled with gold medals and the etching of her name within the school record books. At districts she won the shot put (10.83 meters) and discus (40.23 meters).

Slaughter was just as impressive on the boys side. He won the shot put (15.03 meters personal record) and the discus (48.19).

Also qualifying for the Rangers was sophomore Liadan Stone after getting 2nd in the 300 hurdles (51.47).
