30-Mile Police Chase Begins in Norwich, Ends in Otsego County
Norwich Police say a Cortland County man forcibly stole a car and led police on a 30-mile chase through two counties over the weekend. According to police, they received a call around 1:10 p.m. on Saturday, May 4th regarding a man stealing from parked vehicles in the Norwich High School parking lot. Officers located the man in a stolen vehicle and a pursuit occurred. The pursuit lasted approximately 30 miles from Norwich to Mt. Upton, NY, when the suspect drove the car into a ditch.
