GIFFORD, Ill. (WCIA) – On this week’s Meet the Mayor segment, we invited on Gifford Village President Adam Pannbacker to talk about upcoming events.

On Saturday June 29th, there will be the Community Celebration with a 5k run, parade, and other festivities going on downtown and at Emord Memorial Park.

“It all brings the community together,” Pannbacker said. “There’s plenty of events for the children, inflatables, toys and stuff like that for them to play with at the park.”

Next year is also the village’s Sesquicentennial. So far, the village is still in the planning stages of the event, but they are excited for the celebration. To keep up to date with any new information for either event, you can follow the Gifford Sesquicentennial Celebration Facebook Page and the Gifford Community Celebration Facebook Page .
