The Shamrocks (2-10) lost 14-1 at home to Sullivan (12-5) on Monday, Apr. 22. Thomas Wiedemann was the only scorer for the Shamrocks in the conference clash and also picked up his first run of the season. It came in the bottom of the 5th when New Haven was trailing 14-0 and needed a spark to get on the board. Wiedemann kicked off his drive by seizing 1st base on catcher’s interference and then raced to 3rd on Steinbeck’s double. With two outs, Trevor Hinten sacrificed himself with a groundout so Wiedemann could score.

Girls Soccer (12-5-2) claimed their fourth consecutive championship at the Owensville Invitational this past week. Sullivan did not give up a goal in the two games they played. They came in hot with a 7-0 shutout of St. James (1-11) in the opening round and capped off their run with a 4-0 sweep of Owensville (6-11) in the championship.

Sullivan (14-5) edged Owensville (7-12) 3-1 in a Class 4 District 4 clash on Thursday, Apr. 25. Both defenses shut one another out on the diamond in the first two innings. Seth Valley broke the scoring drought for Sullivan in the top of the 3rd. He punched it home for a 1-0 lead after Chase Blue ripped a grounder into a fielder’s choice.
