Carter Holsworth commits to Marshall football
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Jasper’s Carter Holsworth has announced his commitment to Marshall! The Wildcat runningback had quite a senior season, rushing for 1486 yards, on a very efficient seven yards per carry. Holsworth took plenty of trips to the endzone as well, notching 18 touchdowns on the season. At Marshall, he’s hoping for a shot to break into their runningback rotation. ONA — Mikey Johnson was akin to a great hitter in baseball, fouling away before coming up big. Johnson, a senior from Huntington High, fouled on four of his six long jump attempts, but landed a first place leap of 21 feet, 7.25 inches. Johnson edged Cabell Midland’s Caden Bowen, a Marshall University signee, by half an inch. Huntington’s Carmelo Sheffield was third at 21-4.5.
