Hearing to vacate Shona Wallace verdict
Attorneys for Shona Wallace are asking a Seminole County judge to vacate her guilty verdict, which would essentially strike it from the record. Wallace was convicted of killing a toddler in a crash in Altamonte Springs. Wallace died in April, just days before her sentencing. Prosecutors say Wallace was under the influence of fentanyl when her car jumped the curb and crashed into the toddler's family. If a judge agrees, that would take the conviction off the record.
