Felony Arrest in Great Valley: Olean Woman Taken into Custody
(WNY News Now) – Great Valley, NY – On July 21, 2024, at approximately 10:25 PM, Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb reported the arrest of Bethany L. Jackson, 33, of Olean, NY. Jackson was taken into custody on Route 417 in Great Valley due to an active felony bench warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Court stemming from a prior arrest.

The City of Olean Department of Public Works is soliciting the services of a professional engineering firm to create and implement a plan for sanitary sewer inflow and infiltration (I/I) mitigation. Police reports: Olean restaurateur charged with welfare fraud
OLEAN — A longtime Olean restaurateur faces multiple charges connected with an alleged case of welfare fraud, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office reported Friday. Mian M. Rafi, 68, of 444 Third Ave., owner of Rafi's Food Hub on West State Street, was charged at 9 a.m. Friday with third-degree grand larceny, third-degree welfare fraud and two counts of felony misuse of food stamps, class D felonies; and five counts of misuse of benefits, a class A misdemeanor.
