GONZALES - Police in Gonzales are looking for a person who shot and killed a man driving along Burnside Highway on Friday night. Officers said Craig Haynes Jr. of Darrow was driving along Burnside Highway between LA 30 and Worthy Road around 11 p.m. when he was shot. Haynes Jr. was taken to a hospital and died on Saturday.

A serious multi-vehicle accident took place in St. James Parish, Louisiana, early in the morning. The accident occurred on LA 3213, south of US 61, and was investigated by the Louisiana State Police Troop A. The victim, 66-year-old Earnest Bradley from Vacherie, was driving in the wrong direction.

On Friday afternoon, two men died in a gun battle off Gus Young Avenue. Quadrell Clark, 22, and Marquise Muse, 19, were shot to death by one another. Police said the two had an ongoing feud.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A man was shot along the Cortana Kiwanis Christmas Parade route Saturday evening. The Baton Rouge Police Department said a man with apparent gunshot wounds approached officers along the Cortana Kiwanis Christmas Parade route downtown. The man was shot near the intersection of North Boulevard and St. Louis Street, in front of the 19th JDC, around 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

EAST BATON ROUGE —- A second person has been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting during an “ATV Trail Ride” in the Plains Port Hudson area. Lamar Hall, 32, of Baton Rouge, was arrested and charged with principal to first degree murder and illegal use of a weapon over the weekend. Documents show after his arrest, he admitted to shooting into the crowd.

• Anthony Manson, 28, wanted in St. John the Baptist Parish, was arrested after leading officers on a chase across two parishes and hitting a patrol unit. • The chase began when Ascension Parish Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop Manson for a traffic violation in Prairieville on Airline Highway.

BATON ROUGE - A man accused of not seeking immediate medical attention for a 1-year-old child's severe burns was arrested Friday. According to police affidavits, Jose Martinez-Mendez, 33, was arrested on charges of second-degree cruelty to juveniles and child desertion after a roommate called 911 to bring attention to his child's burns on November 22.

Sheriff Leland Falcon of Assumption Parish has announced the arrest of Jabari Qunell Lize Landry and Tramari Awan Triplett, both 21, on several felony charges. Sheriff Leland Falcon of Assumption Parish has announced the arrest of Kaitlin Alida Chedotal, 28, and Jared McKinley Gros Simoneaux, 30, both from Donaldsonville, LA. The arrests followed an investigation into a suspicious vehicle. Late Tuesday evening, a deputy noticed a stationary vehicle on LA 1008. When the deputy approached, the vehicle drove away and was later stopped near LA 1 on LA 402.
