Freddie Gibbs Boosts The Bass In Roaring Movin’ On Performance

Freddie Gibbs, a rapper from Gary, Indiana, made an appearance at Movin’ On and brought the crowd a different type of energy after The 502s’ performance .

Gibbs is most known for his songs “Something to Rap About” with Tyler The Creator, “1985,” and “Crime Pays” and had the crowd jumping with those hits and more.

After Gibbs’ DJ played “Ambition For Cash” by Key Glock, “Let’s Go” by Kiing Dre, and “Mo Bamba” by Sheck Wes, Gibbs made a long-awaited entrance to the stage as “Sirius” played.

Before getting into his set, Gibbs immediately said “Penn State, where the fuck you at?” After a roar from the fans, Gibbs began rapping “1985,” “Thuggin,” and “God Is Perfect.”

For the first time of many during his time on stage, Gibbs led a “fuck police” chant before playing “Scottie Beam.” Quickly after finishing, he said, “Damn, I need a blunt.”

He then went into “Something to Rap About” and “Babies & Fools.” After a quick break to say, “Hold on, hold on, hold, make some motherfucking noise,” and, “Fuck it, we just gonna fuck this motherfucker up,” Gibbs also played “Crime Pays,” “Baby $Hit,” and Kanye West’s “BACK TO ME,” which he has a feature on.

Gibbs went on to play “PYS,” “Gang Signs,” “Zipper Bagz,” and “Pain & Strife.” While doing so, fans waved their hands and jumped up and down, and Gibbs even went into the crowd. However, it became an issue as he said, “Oh shit, I’m stuck at the bottom of the motherfucking stairs” but quickly reappeared on stage without a shirt on.

Gibbs was done with his set for a moment, but after a loud “Freddie” chant, he agreed to play one more song and went with “Big Boss Rabbit” before concluding for the night.
