2024 IGHSAU High School Girl’s Softball Week Four Rankings
(West Des Moines, IA) – Let’s continue this summer season of softball action as the IGHSAU has released its week four rankings for the 2024 softball season. These rankings are compiled by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. The local teams in Class 1A feature Martensdale-St Marys in first, Wayne in second, Griswold in 11th, and Earlham in 12th. For Class 2A teams, Van Meter ranks first, Missouri Valley comes in seventh, Interstate-35 ranks eighth, and Audubon/Exira-EHK ranks 10th. In Class 3A, Clarinda sits at 11th. Jumping over to Class 4A, North Polk sits in first, Carlisle has been put at eighth, ADM is right behind in ninth, Winterset ranks at 11th, and Gilbert is at 15th. Former metro insurance agent and annuity salesman sentenced to 19 years in federal prison
DES MOINES, Iowa — A former insurance agent and annuity salesman from Clive will spend 19 years behind bars for stealing millions from older Iowans. Zachary Flaherty, 48, was charged with 17 counts of mail and wire fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and two counts of money laundering over $10,000. He was charged in April 2023.
