    It's time for everyone's favorite part of the week: The Gainesville Sun Athlete of the Week Poll!

    Here are the best of the bunch for high school sports events held May 14-20.

    Coaches, administrators, friends and family, if you think someone is worthy of being nominated, please send their name, stats and why they should be nominated to Nram@gannett.com by Sunday afternoon.

    The poll will be open until 11:59 p.m. Friday. Please share this poll with friends and family.

    Addison Allaire, Trenton Softball

    Drove in a run and pitched a complete game, striking out 14, for the Tigers in their 3-1 win over Williston to win Class 1A-Region 4 and advance to states.

    Aidan Kastensmidt, Buchholz Baseball

    Six innings of shutout baseball for the Bobcats to win Class 6A-Region 1, 1-0 over Hagerty, for the first time in program history.

    Amy Crosby, Santa Fe Softball

    Home run, three RBIs and a double for the Raiders in their 8-0 win over Trinity Prep in the Class 3A-Region 2 Semifinals.

    Anthony Wilkie, Buchholz Baseball

    At states, Wilkie drove in two RBIs and three hits, including a triple and a home run as the Bobcats advanced to the state title game.

    Arielle Livingston, Eastside Girls Track and Field

    4 th place in the 100m hurdles and 6 th place in the 400m hurdles at Class 2A states Thursday at UNF.

    Dakota Brower, Oak Hall Boys Track and Field

    4 th place in the 400m at Class 1A states Wednesday at UNF.

    Eleanor Whisler, Buchholz Boys Track and Field

    7 th place in the 3200m at Class 4A states Saturday at UNF.

    Elijah Kellum, Bradford Boys Track and Field

    1 st place in the triple jump and 4 th in the long jump at Class 2A states Thursday at UNF.

    Estella Colante, Oak Hall Girls Track and Field

    Evan Fleming, Buchholz Boys Track and Field

    Kennith Martin, Eastside Boys Track and Field

    1 st place in the 100m and 2 nd place in the 200m at Class 2A states Thursday at UNF.

    Mackenzie Klein, Oak Hall Girls Track and Field

    Fifth place at Class 1A states in the 1600m and member of Eagles 1 st place 4x800m relay squad.

    Laila Arnold, Branford Softball

    Complete game shutout, striking out seven, to defeat Fort White 1-0 and win Class 1A-Region 3 for the Buccaneers and advance to states.

    Leanna Bourdage, GHS Softball

    Led Hurricanes to Class 5A-Region 1 title and spot in states with back-to-back shutouts of Middleburg and Gulf Breeze with 23 total Ks. At the plate, she hit two home runs and four RBIs.

    Terek Logan, Santa Fe Boys Track and Field

    2 nd place in the pole vault at Class 2A states Thursday at UNF.
