Columbus woman convicted of helping plan fatal February 2022 robbery, shooting sentenced
A woman who drove a teenager to a February 2022 meeting with a man that ended with the man being fatally shot learned her fate Thursday in Franklin County Common Pleas Court. Dashay Avery, 25, had previously pleaded guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated robbery. On Thursday, Judge Kimberly Cocroft ordered Avery to serve a minimum of 20 years in prison and a maximum of 25½ years.
