Alabama high school sports: Vote for Gadsden Times boys and girls athlete of the Week of April 26

It's that time of the week, time to vote for the Gadsden area boys and girls athlete of the week.

Glencoe's Aiden Cornutt took home the boys poll last week after a four goal performance that put him in the top five for AHSAA career goals. On the girls side, Gadsden City's Raegan Brooks' two goals earned her the win.

Nominees for athlete of the week come from the top performers the week before. Voting will last until Thursday at noon.

• Westbrook Christian's Braden Kay - CG 10 K's, four hits allowed
• Southside's Camren Thompson - 2 goals, 2 assists
• Gadsden City's Tito Guerrero - 2 goals, 2 assists
• Boaz Anderson Lambert - made finals at states in double, third round in singles

Gadsden area girls athlete of the week nominations

• Gadsden City's Ella Jennings - 15 saves
• Hokes Bluff's Lacey Grace Hall - combined no hitter, CG, 14 K's
• Hokes Bluff's Abby Payne - 3 run HR, HR, 5 RBIs, two runs scored
• Piedmont's Savannah Smith - 2 CG, 18 strikeouts
