Barn Destroyed in Saturday Afternoon Fire in Richlandtown
A barn in Richlandtown was destroyed in a fire Saturday afternoon along the 100 block of South Main Street. Crews were dispatched to the scene at 3:11 p.m. on Jan. 27 for a report of a building fire. Arriving personnel encountered a barn that was fully engulfed in flames, and two witnesses at the scene reported hearing explosions from inside of the barn.
Warrington Arrests Show Shoplifters Targeting Bigger-Ticket Items
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA—While shoplifting arrests from stores along the Route 611 corridor in Warrington aren’t exactly news, a spate of retail theft has targeted large—and expensive—items. On April 30, for example, a 50-year-old man was charged with stealing a 75” television from the Walmart valued at nearly $700. Police said that the suspect in the case, Sean Thomas Beluch of Warminster, had a preliminary hearing for another theft that same day. A controversial book ban push by a vocal minority of parents in the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District was rejected on Tuesday night, ending another chapter for a district that has been embroiled in debate.
Lehigh County man accused of raping 19-year-old he met on dating app
A Hanover Township, Lehigh County man is accused of raping a 19-year-old woman he met on an online dating app. Lorens DeJesus Gomez, 22, of the 500 block of Cedar Hill Drive, also is charged with felony intercepting communications. Karen J. Schular, the public defender assigned to Gomez, didn’t immediately return a request for comment Wednesday morning.

Ex-Employee of Doylestown’s County Theater in Trouble After Paying an After-Hours Visit
DOYLESTOWN, PA—A Doylestown man and ex-employee of the County Theater was charged with theft and trespassing after allegedly entering the business after it had closed for the night and then refusing to leave. Police said that on May 3, Benjamin Michael O’Hare, 36, entered the theater after hours through a side door. O’Hare, who had previously worked for the theater, allegedly went to a second-floor office.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER When O’Hare was asked to leave, he allegedly instead went to the first floor and rifled through cabinets and a cash register. Police said O’Hare left the theater with about $70 of items. A short time later, police located O’Hare and took him into custody. He was arraigned on charges of criminal and defiant trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Bail was set at 10% of $100,000.
