    Frenchburg inmate faces new charges for alleged role in 2022 overdose death

    FRENCHBURG, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A woman previously found guilty of drug trafficking is now facing manslaughter.

    In February 2023, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said deputies had concluded the drug trafficking case against Lacey Ross, 23, of Frenchburg. Ross was found guilty of multiple counts of drug trafficking, including methamphetamine and fentanyl, and has been lodged in the Montgomery County Regional Jail since.

    LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS

    On Friday, Montogomery County detectives presented new evidence allegedly linking Ross to a November 2022 overdose death to the grand jury, authorities said. The Grand Jury returned an indictment, officially charging Ross with manslaughter.
