On December 4th, the community of Monticello faced a stark reminder of the ever-present dangers on the road when a three-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 11:47 a.m. at stop light #2 on the KY 90 bypass. Involved were a 1987 Dodge Dakota, making a precarious left turn onto Barnes Drive, and a 2001 Toyota Corolla, heading eastbound. The impact led to the overturning of the Dodge Dakota, which ended up against a stationary 2016 Dodge van at the traffic light, resulting in injuries to both drivers, Ella Thompson and Sandra Dolen.

Two people were sent to the hospital following a wreck at the intersection of East Highway 80 and Dowell Road yesterday morning. According to Russell Springs Police, the collision occurred just before 7 a.m. when a 2007 Nissan Quest operated by 62-year-old Doris Holcomb of Russell Springs collided with a 1999 Ford Ranger operated by 50-year-old Robby Lovins of Lebanon.

Two arrested after traffic stop in Pulaski County
SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) - One Burnside woman and one London man face several drug-related charges after a traffic stop late Monday evening, December 4. According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Logan Crabtree pulled over a 2007 Pontiac G7 reportedly driven by Iris Thompson, 52, of Burnside. Thompson reportedly initially provided a false ID during the stop. In a statement on social media, Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones said Thompson was later found to have a parole violation warrant from a 2018 conviction.
