A man has pled guilty in the murder of four-year-old Shelby County girl, Serenity McKinney. Dakota Hill, 28, pled guilty earlier this week to killing Serenity in late December 2020. Serenity’s mother (and Hill’s girlfriend), 22-year-old Catherine McKinney, previously reached a plea deal where she pled guilty to manslaughter, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse in the death of her daughter. She was sentenced to 12 years in prison in April. Catherine McKinney was originally charged with murder.

PARIS, Ky. (WKYT) - Deputy Caleb Conley was killed in the line of duty last Monday while conducting a traffic stop. Deputy Conley touched the lives of many in his time serving his community. Now, members of his community are doing what they can to serve his family as they grieve the loss of the Scott County deputy.

For the last ten years, Dustin George has driven an Old Dominion Freight Lines truck to make deliveries in Georgetown. That's where he was Thursday, when he spotted something.

Scott County-On 5-31-2023 at approximately 2:20 pm, a Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a serious injury crash while on patrol in Austin, Indiana. The deputy was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time. The crash is being investigated by the Austin City Police Department. Please contact the Austin City Police with questions.
