FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Overnight bridge work has been scheduled to begin on Sunday for the I-90 ramp bridges over Route 9 in Framingham.

Road repaving in Northampton beginning Monday

According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), the work will take place Sunday through Thursday during the overnight hours of 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., the next morning. All of the bridge work will be completed by 5:00 a.m. on Friday.

Overnight traffic will be impacted to allow crews and contractors to perform work safely and effectively. The following detours will be in place:

    • When the I-90 eastbound and westbound (exit 111) off-ramps to Route 9 westbound are closed, traffic will be directed to follow the detour signage in place and use Route 9 eastbound then reverse direction at Country Club Lane to access Route 9 westbound.
    • When the Route 9 westbound ramps to I-90 (exit 111) are closed, traffic looking to access I-90 eastbound/westbound will be directed to follow the detour signage in place and continue westbound on Route 9 and follow signage for Route 30 and Route 9 eastbound to access I-90 eastbound and westbound.

Drivers should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. All work is weather dependent and law enforcement details will be in place to help guide drivers through the work area.
