FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – From the Highlight Zone, to the highest level of football.

Bishop Dwenger grad Tyler Eifert earned some new threads on Saturday during the Mad Anthonys Red Coat Gala. Eifert was recognized alongside Jim and Tom Marcuccilli during Saturday’s gala at the Clyde.

The former tight end is not too far removed from his 8-year stay in the NFL. Eifert was selected with the 21st overall pick by Cincinnati in the 2013 NFL Draft. From there, Eifert went on to play most of his NFL career with the Bengals. In seven seasons with Cincinnati, Eifert caught 185 passes for 2,152 yards and 24 touchdowns. Eifert’s last season in the NFL was in 2020 with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

While in Fort Wayne for the Red Coat Gala, WANE 15 sports director Glenn Marini caught up with Eifert to reflect on this honor and look back on the tight end’s football career.
