The baseball doubleheader semifinal saw four of the state’s top 14 teams faceoff, with No. 5 Coldwater knocking off No. 8 Eastwood, 7-3, in the opener at Ed Sandy Field. Liberty-Benton rallied to top Wayne Trace, 7-4, in the nightcap. The winners face each other Saturday for the district crown. Eastwood coach Kevin Leady said his team had its hands full with the Cavaliers (24-5).

Minster, Kenton Ridge both win regional softball titles
CLAYTON, OHIO (WKEF/WRGT) - Two area high school softball teams are headed to the state tournament in Akron, after winning regional titles on Friday. In Division IV Region 16, Minster and Tri-Village traded the lead in the middle innings, before the Wildcats ultimately won 5-3. Hailee Albers hit the single in the 6th that brought in both the tying and the winning runs. Minster will face Strasburg-Franklin in the Division IV semifinals on 10:00 AM on Thursday.
