Inches of rain are forecast for Fort Collins and the surrounding area with up to multiple feet of snow forecast for the foothills west off Fort Collins, Boulder and Denver on Saturday.

• Red Feather Lakes: 18-24 inches
• Estes Park: 8-12 inches

Fort Collins forecast calls for steady rain Saturday

Here is Fort Collins' weekend forecast:

• Saturday: 100% chance of rain with showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Temperature falling to around 38 degrees by 1 p.m. North-northeast wind 11 to 13 mph, gusting as high as 24 mph.
• Saturday night: 80% chance of rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 37.
• Sunday : 40% chance of rain then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 61. North wind 5 to 13 mph, gusting to 21 mph.
• Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. South southwest wind 11 to 15 mph in the morning, gusting to up 23 mph. 20% chance of showers after midnight. Low around 41.
• Tuesday : 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Breezy. Low around 40.
• Wednesday : Slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 64.
