A boat has washed up near Fort Bragg’s Beachcomber Motel after capsizing. Reports from the scene indicate “one body washed up” associated with the boat and first responders at the scene are attempting CPR to revive the subject. Though details are vague, radio traffic indicates one subject is still in the water.

MCSO: Lake County man still missing off Mendocino Coast
One Lake County man died and another is still missing after the boat they were in capsized along the Mendocino Coast, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, deputies responded to an area along the Pacific Ocean near the Ten Mile Dunes around 3:40 p.m. Nov. 10 when it was reported that a deceased man had washed ashore north of MacKerricher State Park near Fort Bragg.

CHP: Trailer carrying 300-plus pounds of marijuana stopped in Mendocino County
A truck towing a trailer with more than 300 pounds of marijuana was stopped recently on Highway 101 between Ukiah and Willits, the California Highway Patrol reported. According to the CHP, around 11:25 a.m. Nov. 9, an officer stopped “a silver Dodge Ram pulling an enclosed trailer” on Hwy. 101 south of the Ridgewood Scales because the driver had been speeding.

State Route 1, Mendocino Coast’s major north-south corridor, is closed this evening after a downed tree, power lines, and resulting traffic collision blocked the roadway. Scanner trafic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate the incident began around 5:17 p.m. just south of the Little River Inn after a “large pine tree” fell blocking approximately three-quarters of the roadway.
