Two Southwest High School runners have advanced to the Class 2 State Track and Field Championships, scheduled for Friday and Saturday. At the Class 2, Sectional 3 meet in Blue Eye on Saturday, senior Robert Humphries finished fourth in the mile and 2-mile at Sectional 3 at Blue Eye High School. Man drowns at Bull Shoals
The Missouri State Highway Patrol Water Patrol Division has confirmed the identity of a man that drowned in Bull Shoals Lake Tuesday, May 7. Larry Dilday, 75, of Forsyth was fishing from the bank and fell into the water near the mouth of Swan Creek. Dilday was pronounced deceased on the scene at 2:44 p.m. when authorities arrived.
