8 arrested, multiple drugs seized in two day operation

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – Officials from multiple law enforcement agencies worked together over a two day period this week to arrest multiple individuals and seize multiple types of drugs.

According to the Tri-City Violent Crimes Task Force, officers with the task force and the Forest City Police, Spindale Police and Rutherfordton Police worked together on Tuesday and Wednesday to target people suspected of having or distributing drugs.

Over the course of the operation, officers arrested 8 people, served six outstanding warrants and a search warrant, seized three guns, 42 grams of meth, 4 grams of fentanyl, 23 grams of marijuana and 10 units of various pills.

During the course of the operation, officers also assisted in responding to a breaking and entering which resulted in an arrest and more drugs being found.
